NIHCR library has innumerable number of rare books and other reading materials these items are :

  • Transfer of Power Constitutional Relations between Britain and India Volume I – XII,

  • The Collected Works of Mahatima Gandhi the new series is in 100 volumes, each volume of about 500 pages these volumes contain Gandhiji’s writings, speeches and letters covering interviews, conversations,

  • Indian Annual Register: an annual digest of public affairs of India recording the national activities each year in matters Political, Economic affairs since 1924 to1946-47.

 Archive Collections  

The archival records are conserved, documented and made available for the purposes of research and dissemination. This collection was subsequently brought from National Archive of Pakistan and National Documentation Centre, Islamabad.

  • Quaid-i-Azam Papers presenting those proceedings official meetings letters, speeches, correspondence and all political activities of the Great founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. It consists of about 1362 unpublished files.

  • Fatima Jinnah Papers presenting correspondence with imperial personalities and letters of Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah. It consists of about 88 unpublished files.
     

  • Shams-ul-Hassan Collection consists of  about 48 unpublished files.
     

  • Punjab Police Abstract of Intelligence are available in the library since 1886 to 1947.
