Author |
Sajid Mahmood Awan
is an unconventional writer and keeps writing on the political,
social, historical and literary issues habitually. Presently he
is serving as Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute
of Historical and Cultural Research (NIHCR)., Center of
Excellence, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. Earlier he had
been serving the Department of Pakistan Studies, Bahauddin
Zakariya University, Multan from 2004 to 2010. His previous
publication Muslim Worldview and Family Planning in Pakistan
was published from the NIHCR. In 2009 he published: The
Collection of Multan Records: Pre and Post-Independence Official
Documents of Punjab (1852-2004) which was an outcome of a
joint linkage project of the HEC entitled "Multan Regional
Studies Specialisation". It was run and completed in
collaboration with the Royal Holloway College, University of
London during his stay at the BZU. During the same period, he
was on the Advisory Panel of the GAT, a guide book for the NTS.
He had also been on the teaching faculty of Al-Khair Univerity,
Azad Kashmir, at its Islamabad Campus. He has published a number
of research articles in the reputed journals of social science
at home and abroad and has presented papers in the national and
international conferences. He had the distinction to present Repertoire Reports of three international conferences.
In addition to
his personal research pursuits, he is also discharging his
services as Editor to one of the leading HEC recognised journals
i.e Pakistan Journal of History and Culture (PJHC).
Moreover, an International Peer Reviewed Journal i.e. Central
India Journal of Historical and Archaeological Research (CIJHAR)
has inducted him as Member Advisory Board. He had also prepared
Indexes of the Journal of Asian Civilizations (Formerly
Journal of Central Asia) and of the Pakistan Journal
of History and Culture (PJHC). He was appointed as Editor of
a magazine Reflection published by an NGO named as AWAZ-
Center for Development Services (CDS), of which he was a member
of the Board of Governors also. He has recently launched the
annual publication of Pakistan Abstract of Social Sciences
(PASS). At present, he is heading the Pakistan Study Group
on Federalism and is holding the office of the President of
International Association of Historians of Asia (IAHA).

Rahat Zubair Malik is working
as a Research Fellow at National Institute of Historical and
Cultural Research; Associate Editor of Pakistan Journal of
History and Culture (HEC recognized bi-annual journal. She is also a member
of Pakistan Study Group on Federalism. She offered various
courses on the Political Parties in Pakistan, Advanced Research
Methodology, Philosophy of History, Foreign Policy of Pakistan:
1947¬1988, World History and Civilizations to BS, M.Sc and MS
classes at Departments of History, Sociology, Education, and
Communication and Media Studies in Quaid-i-Azam University and
International Islamic University, Islamabad. She also
participated in 5-Day Youth Training on Understanding
Pakistani Politics and International Relations as the
Resource Person.
She has written journal articles, conference papers and
abstracts, on diverse topics encompassing trends in Twentieth
Century Global and Pakistani politics, cultural heritage and
evolution as well as social evolution in Pakistan, elections in
Pakistan with special reference to evolution of democracy at
Centre and Provinces, and trends in history writing in Pakistan.
A manuscript titled "Politics of Alliances: A Case Study of
Islami Jamhoori Ittehad" is on its way to get published.
She has been also an active participant in various International
conferences held at various parts of the Pakistan. They include,
the International Conference on 1973 Constitution of Pakistan:
The Role of Executive, Legislature and Judiciary Organized by
Department of History, University of Peshawar and Hanns Seidel
Foundation (HSF) Islamabad (2016), the International Conference
on Sindh: History and Culture organized by NIHCR, QAU Islamabad
(2015), the International Conference on Balochistan: History and
Culture by the NIHCR, QAU (2o014) and the International
Conference on Socio-Economic Cooperation between India and
Pakistan in Punjab University Lahore (2013). Presently she is
working as a member of Pakistan Study Group on Federalism and is
serving as the Secretary General of International Association of
Historians of Asia (IAHA).
